To say it’s just a t-shirt company would be an understatement . . .

In 2009, Aurora Projekt was started in Alaska’s capital city, Juneau AK.

From the beginning, Aurora Projekt has been all about the Alaskan lifestyle and to this day, that holds true. The brand was started by Scott Baxter and Shane Robinson with the mission to create unique apparel with designs that were made by Alaskans and reflected the lifestyle that so many choose to live in this Northern state. With Baxter and Robinson both being involved in the local snowboard, surf, and skate scene, it quickly became influenced around the industry and that style, but with an Alaskan twist.

To this day, Scott Baxter runs the business out of the same store front that was opened in 2009 and also has a print shop where shirts, canvas, and stickers are printed. Since opening, Aurora Projekt has exploded into a multidimensional business that has sponsored many events and local snowboard film projects, and has hosted many different artists for local art showings. Aurora Projekt is a great example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. There have been so many artists involved over the last fifteen years, as well as riders, photographers, and local people doing badass things for their community.
